Playground Discovery: Seal Beach Playground in California

Picture

During our Spring break trip… you know, between all the Disneyland hopping, Legoland exploring, and all the sightseeing, we were able to visit the beach at least once. Okay, so it WASN’T swimsuit and tanning friendly type of beach day but we totally made the most of it. Luckily, there was a playground for our kiddos to enjoy. I love how the Seal Beach has so many climbing type of play structures because my children love, love, LOVE to climb.

*This post is in collaboration with See Kai Run. I chose the pairs of shoes seen here!

Meet KC, the krazy climber. Ever since she was little, she would climb on every single thing she could. Now that she’s older, I am most impressed with her playground skills. Of course when she saw this climbing structure, she was so quick to go up to the top and she does it so effortlessly I secretly wish for her monkey climbing abilities. She is growing up so fast I am sort of crying inside. Although I have to say that my mom-exploring-abillity for my children’s products is doing pretty awesome.

I recently found a shoe brand called See Kai Run that tends to children’s growth and development. These shoes are FLEXIBLE, moms and dads. As soon as I received them in the mail, guess what was the first thing I did? Yes, that’s right, I bent them all and I had so much fun. By the way, KC is wearing the Peyton in the Blue Dots color scheme.  CUTE.

Meet my son, EZ and my littlest, Mimi. These side by side slides are a favorite of mine, I believe that it helps younger kids be more brave if their older sibling is helping them or even holding their hand while sliding down. But as you can see, my kids totally broke the slides rule. Good thing no one else was there!

Remember when I said there was so many climbing structures? This is another one. This looked so fun that I wanted to try it, except it was sort of hard for an adult to do without constantly bumping my head! This was EZ’s favorite for sure because at first it was such a struggle, but kept going and by the end of the day, he was a pro! This is where the bending ability of these shoes come in, right? So awesome. EZ is sort of picky with shoes, he is more drawn to shoes that are comfortable so he would pick comfort over looks. I’m glad to say that he can have both comfort and style with the Tanner style in the Big Kids. The heather gray fabric and the red accents makes these look so classic as well. Doesn’t it remind you of the Nintendo console?
I don’t know what it is about the “statue” play structure that I see in all the playgrounds now, but they are always so cute and if I might add, challenging as well. I have about fifty pictures of Mimi trying to climb up the mama and baby seal because she wasn’t sure if she could or not. Of course, when I stopped taking the pictures, she ends up climbing it. Mom photo fail. I honestly love how these shoes are so amazing for play, and the ones that I specifically picked are velcro closure! I didn’t think about it at the time, but wow, how effortless were their playground day without needing to tie loose shoe laces or even worse, tripping over them!

Mimi is wearing the Kristin in the Little Kids, it is in the color chambray as well like her older sister. It looks similar color wise, but its actually a different style! This one is more like the Tanner rather than the Peyton. I don’t know why, but denim looking shoes are just so adorable… especially on little feet!

Our beach day turned out great even though we didn’t get a chance to play in the water or get a tan. This area is such a nice place, we truly enjoyed our time here… and thanks to See Kai Run for making our children’s playground day such a success with its comfort and style! If you would like to see all the other styles they have to offer, visit them here at seekairun.com Thanks so much for visiting and until next time!
