Weekends are made for families, sunshine was created to give us Light during said weekend, and ducks were made to impress our children! Our Saturday has filled me with such gratitude that I just sit here and think, How great is our God to create this wonderful world for all of us to enjoy!
We started off the day with the adorable ducks... and when I say ducks, there were MANY ducks. It's so fun to watch the kids so in awe of them, we could have stayed here for hours if we didn't have another activity to go to. This area is called the Point Defiance Park in Tacoma, Washington. Beautiful area to go for a picnic and just hang out with the ducks! My husband and I visited here about seven years ago when we only had Keilani, oh my, how fast time flies!
Afterwards, we cruised down the Tacoma Waterfront trial with our bikes and can I please announce that my son has learned to ride a bike! It's funny to think how switching to a 14" inch bike solved any problems, haha. One more child to go! We stopped in a beautiful area by the river so the kids can take a break and throw rocks.
As we were looking for a nice area to make a rest stop, the train passed and we ooh-ed and aah-ed. All of a sudden half of the cargos just detached... ummm...what?! Kay, I don't know.
We were all ready for our juices and snacks after the bike ride, and may I just say that I LOVE being a mom? Being a mom has TONS of responsibilities and rewards, but ones that I want to make an important notes of are... that its super REWARDING to spend times like this with the kids and while it is a RESPONSIBILITY to make sure they have tons of snacks during day long outings... I had great joy and so much fun packing their snacks and beverages 😁 Anyone else totally LOVE their mom jobs? Kids completely satisfied with the snacks I packed in this 'Fuel Cell' in the fun summer print 'Key West'
The Tacoma Waterfront is truly beautiful and I'm so blessed to have a family like I do with my husband. I love our times together and even though we don't have family outings every weekend... when we do, I cherish it so much. We created this family and we have made it this far through all the ups and downs of life.. not by himself, not by myself, but US and the strong hands of Jesus Christ. Each night I give thanks to the Lord for always keeping us in His arms because I know without Him, THIS day right here, wouldn't have been real.
My husband is the planner of our family outings while I, the mama, is the packer of the family. I find such great joy making sure our children has everything they need when we are away from home. From hand sanitizer, potty needs, change of clothes, TONS of snacks and drinks, to important items that could be needed such as epipens, Benadryl, and first aid kit. I am a worrier, and I don't find peace leaving the home if I'm not prepared.

This day's choice of my diaper bag is the BEAUTIFUL Jujube Rosy Posy in the 'Be Classy' style. Ladies, this will release on May 30th at midnight. These are also a limited release, so if you love this, and you should, I mean it's just too beautiful. Add this Be Classy to your list, and maybe the 'Itty Bitty Be' too for your little girl... isn't it just TOO adorable?!
Just before the sun set in, we finished off the night dining at a nice restaurant called Indochine Restaurant down the street of the waterfront. We had teriyaki chicken, barbecue lemongrass chicken, classic Thai fried rice, and calamari... yup, we were extremely full!! It was an amazing day, and it's worth any struggles as parents go through to make a nice outing memorable for the kids. Let's admit, fun for kids, stressful for parents, haha! There isn't anything else that could fix the tough parts of family outings than biking by a river. I, for one, truly loved it because this is the first time I have ever owned a bike that was amazingly comfortable. It's definitely the best cruiser mom bike up to date. Not only does it ride very smoothly, has a BELL and a basket... it folds, too! It's totally right up in my alley because I don't know how to correctly use a bike rack. Bike suddenly down the freeway? Hmmm... LOL. This folding bike is by Citizen Bikes and is in the model Barcelona. Thank you for visiting my blog, and until next time!
