Trick or Treat!

It was a rainy day yesterday, not to mention I didn’t feel all to well! Therefore no motivation was apparent in myself to enjoy Halloween and trick or treating. It was pouring rain to the point that some sidewalks were flooded and small cars had to switch lanes to the left to avoid it. But of course, as a mom who wants to see their kids smile and enjoy Halloween, I ended up taking them which turned out really fun not only for my kids but for myself. We went to our church harvest carnival and the way they earn the candies is to play a game! Win or lose, they will win candies just as long as they try their best. My two youngest ones had no problem trying all the games, I had to kind of encourage my oldest! But one game that she really loved… Has something to do with cookies.

Calling all cookie walkers, they said. Up we went on the stage on a one chosen number, music arises then stops… Number 25!!! I looked over to the kids numbers and I see an empty space with the number and was looking around for keilani. She already went over to the table to choose her cookie! I honestly LOL’d, and yes ladies and gentlemen, I laughed out loud at the silliness of my daughter. Soon after that, big boy EZ’s number was called and he, too, received a cookie!

We stayed about an hour and a half before we had to go. The kids tummies were calling for food, so off we went! I was thinking of also taking the kids to the mall to do another round of trick or treat, but oh my goodness, crowded parking lot and a crowd of zoo animals is so not my thing. Add pouring shower-like rain to the mix made my mind up to seriously go home real quick.

In all of the struggles on my mommyhood part, it was a great day! The kids had fun, and they came home with a good amount of candies and chocolate! Now I leave you to part with the awesome ninja. Have a good day!
