Hello eye primer lovers out there, I just want to tell you something about me. When I got hooked into makeup in general, I have always stuck to the Urban Decay Primer Potion. I thought it was the best thing that have ever existed for my eyeshadows. What a rookie! While the UD is great for what it's intended to do, my my this paint pot does the job much better. It covers any redness you may have on your lids, and it dries fairly quickly! Which is something I love so I can get ahead with my eyeshadow blending.
The packaging is glass which is wonderful! It is very sturdy, looks very classy with the black letterings and the see-through container. It has a weight to it, which I love! It contains 0.17 oz of product which you may not think is a lot of product, but you use very little to cover the whole lid area, including under the brow bone!
The texture is very creamy to the touch, the warmth of your fingers will melt the product slightly so that it's easily applied to your lids. You can use a concealer brush if you please, but I find that if the product is new it needs help getting some warmth for it to get going. Which is why I deducted one point because I wish it was creamy from the get go! Honestly though, if you love this as much as me that is just a little kink that you'll soon get over. I chose the color Soft Ochre because of its warm undertones, I swatched the painterly and it made my arm where I swatched it look super ashy and did not blend out well against my skin tone.
If you have veiny eyelids, I do suggest purchasing painterly over soft ochre since pink toned products covers veins much better than redness. If you look at my swatch, you'll see my arm was unbelievably red that day, who knows why? But this soft ochre, my friends, it covered it extemely! I think some people can even use this as a multi product such as concealing some dark under eyes? Maybe?! Let me know!
