I have an amazing discovery to share with you guys, and it's something that I really really have been loving this past month. First, let me tell you something about myself. All my life, I've always been that type of person whose skin throws tantrums occasionally.
I tell my face, "Hey, let's look pretty and make it flawless!"
Face: "No! I don't want all that nasty stuff on me, get awaaaaay!!!!!"
Me: "It's just for a day! not even day, half a day! Come on!"
Face: "No, I will invite zits and pimples...AND pores and have a big party"
Me: "Ok...nevermind, Can I at least put moisturizer?"
Face: "Do I even know what those words in the ingredients mean? I'm still going to invite the nasties"
My face wins, every. single. time. When I was a little bit younger, I didn't mind that much because it seemed like I had no consequences if I skip a skincare but now that I'm older it is showing dehydration, a sunken look, and tired look around my eyes. It was very apparent since if i put any type of complexion makeup products... the dehydration is very visible like the foundation of my choice that day would suck the last bit of life I had on my skin. Don't get me wrong I don't have bad acne or anything because I don't wear full face makeup everyday, more like twice a week or even once a week. It's the only way I can keep my acne at bay, but I did not have a healthy skin on my face.
A friend of mine, Lorie, knew that I was having this trouble of finding the perfect skin care system that I can live by with no consequences. She mentioned an eye cream that she has been loving that did not cause Milia, and right away I was very interested when she said 100% Pure! I love anything natural and simple! Luckily, we have a local store at the mall and I did stop by to see what it's all about. I keep looking back and thought that I came at the right time when the store manager was working. She did not do any sale pitches, did not push me to try anything, did not make me feel like i have to buy anything just to try something. All I said was, "I was wondering if you have any moisturizer with SPF, and I wanted to smell your coffee eye cream!" Next thing she said was... "Let me get you a sample of that!" My mind instantly halted and was like "What? Really? I didn't even have to ask!?!!?" Not only did she give me a generous sample of the moisturizer, she gave me a whole load of samples! I don't know if the whole company in different places are like this, or if it's just the amazing city that I live in... but it was because of her that I figured out the things that I like from her samples that enticed me to give the other products a chance.
First things first are the body moisturizer that I fell in love with because it did not give me any itchies and redness after I applied it to my legs. I think it's because it does not contain any harsh alcohols to sting my poor skin. For anyone who knows me knows I love anything coconut, so when I opened the sample, I think I fainted and thought I died and went to coconut heaven. The texture is more like a mousse, instead of a cream, and it is fairly easy to spread considering this body cream is without glycerin. I previously just used straight coconut oil to moisturize my body, so this was no surprise, and this was much much easier to spread rather than coconut oil by itself. This was a 10 for me, and knew I had to purchase this for the rest of my life until the day that I die! My husband is going to smell coconut for the rest of his life, it's a good thing he likes the smell too! I've been using this for a month and I am enjoying the results of my skin from using it. I know that coconut is an anti fungal and an anti bacterial product, and it is doing wonders, surprisingly it is diminishing my super dark blemish I have on my waist that I have had trouble of making it go away for the past few years! I've had it since I gave birth to my oldest daughter, and she's six!
Say Hi to my pink grapefruit hand cream that I mentioned earlier, isn't she so cute and small? Haha! Anyway, this is the coconut's partner and it smells citrusy! I'm more into the warm scents like coconut and vanilla but this is a good change. It's very light and does not linger after you apply like the coconut, it moisturizes the same and the benefits of grapefruit is also good for your skin. Grapefruit is a natural AHA so who can go wrong with that?! The big guy over there is the Grapefruit shower gel, I was very pleasantly surprised with this because it foamed quite well for being a natural product. The scent is exactly the same as the hand cream, light and does not linger but it's very refreshing to use in the shower. I like that its easy to lather and like I said, I'm quite interested how this grapefruit will do for my skin, I've only been using this for less than a week so that's where my review stops! Be back later on that product!
Unto the skincare system that I can finally say is MINE! Well...I wish it was only mine so I can have an abundant supply for the rest of my life, but hopefully 100% pure never stops making this set! Just kidding, I want to tell the whole combination-oily skin people of this world about this set! The cleanser is of course oil based as it is a hundred percent natural, and it is a foaming cleanser. This thing can remove the toughest makeup due to all of the oils, because oil removes makeup! Think about it, an oily skinned person needs a matte foundation because the oils in their skin decreases the longevity of a normal skin foundation. I have always used coconut oil to remove all my makeup, then a cleanser to remove the oil... so this is a nice shortcut to decrease my night time routine. I do have to mention, that not all oils are pore-clogging. Mineral oil (petrolatum) is of course pore-clogging, but of course everyone and their grandmas know that. For me, coconut oil is not pore clogging. I'm someone who loves coconut, so it better not be pore-clogging.
This mint white tea toner that I have, is alcohol free and it contains tea tree oil as its anti-bacterial properties. This is nothing new to me, because I have always used tea tree oil to spot treat my acne and it's volcanic eruptions. I know how well this oil performs, and it has even killed the staph infection my youngest daughter had when she was a baby, and those nasties. never. came. back! So to know that this toner has tea tree oil, and other good stuff to combat the bullies on my face, I'm more than happy to use this instead of my tea tree oil bottle.. because it cost too much! This is a nice change, and a cheaper change! Woot woot! Check out the other ingredients on their website: http://100percentpure.com
