Laura Geller Gelato Illuminators in Charming Pink and Gilded Honey

Pink and gold highlights are not colors I would have chosen for my highlights. Usually I choose champagne shades, but something about these are just so captivating. Yes it looks super pigmented in the pan and actually swatches darker than how it really is when applied with a brush. The end result is just way too pretty and proved me so wrong haha! I had a BUNCH of point rewards saved up from Ulta and I knew I wanted to spend it on these. These retail for $26 at Ulta if bought full price.

They are pretty small in size at 0.16 oz but I actually love how friendly these will be for traveling, it doesn’t take up much space and you can see what color it is by just looking through the packaging. One time I actually put my hourglass bronzer as my highlight because I was in a hurry and literally was like OMG what did I just do?

The style of these are just too cute! I know some people get turned off by the cheap looking packaging but these actually remind me of viseart because most of the money goes into the product and not wasted on the packaging. That means more pigmentation with less product used! The plastic packaging is actually pretty sturdy and not a flimsy drugstore type so I have no freaking idea why people complain.

The texture of these are literally cream to powder. It’s soooooo soft and milky feeling which is probably why you would need a denser brush for these so it can pick up the product more easily. I use a chikuhodo large eyeshadow brush for this. It’s like a Big Mac 217!

Natural light and of course never any filter! The charming pink is extremely beautiful when applied on the skin and I find that it really compliments light to medium skin very well. I love the gilded honey as well but I feel like golden highlighters more compliments darker skin tones! It does give me a wash of golden glow and looks pretty good when I am much tanner (like now) there’s no way this would look as intended (a highlight) during the winter time, or maybe it would I don’t know, will get back to ya later on that!. On a comparison note with the charming pink and peach glow… I initially bought peach glow before exchanging it for charming pink because my skin tone is neutral leaning to yellow. The peachy orange undertone of the peach glow were too strong for me that it ended up looking like a super bright sparkly warm blush instead of a highlighter.

I have to admit that these are my actual favorite highlighters compared to JS skin frost and TheBalm Mary Loumanizer. My hourglass luminous light is a different category sometimes I feel like because it doesn’t actually contain any glowing particles… It’s more of a born this way lit from within look. I can’t really compare those two! Here are some swatches:
