The famous quote that says time flies is always so true. I don’t feel like I turned another year older, but my birth certificate says so! Each year I get older, the less interest I have to celebrate it solely for myself... so often times I’m quite confused on what to do for this day. My family and I used to live in a wonderful neighborhood close to where we used to live in Portland, and we haven’t seen our neighbors in a while. I thought this would be a great opportunity to take the trip down there! Realizing that we could even do something like this makes me extremely thankful of the life that God has blessed me with.
In such a face paced world, sometimes we can overlook the tiny things in life that should be noted. It’s such a blessing that my family can even plan a family trip - or that we even have the proper funds to go on a trip. The fact that we were placed in such a wonderful neighborhood earlier in our lives...It is a blessing to know that my family is loved by these wonderful people who welcomes us and tells me that they’re delighted to spend time with my kids! Angels are everywhere, and I believe that God has such a big heart to let us know in little ways that His love for us is powerful.
Another thought provoking realization as I age... is that my life hasn’t exactly been an easy one as I was growing up. In the midst of anything that threatens the natural joy or safety in life, somehow I was plucked out of every single one. I never consider myself lucky or that luck is even a real thing... but I solely believe that each step in my life that I took was guided by my Father who is in heaven and earth, even when I didn’t know Him or what He’s done for me. Coincidences are believed when things happen once or twice, but when it happens all the time, there is only One kind of Power that can do something like that. Yes, in a fast pace world, it’s hard to take notice at the blessings and the plans that He has for us. As I age and become older, I accept that everything takes time to fully come into place... but remember that quote that is widely popular? Time flies - It just depends on how you look at it and how you feel at the moment that makes you believe it doesn’t. I choose to trust in God because while everything takes time, time does fly by!
Last but not least of the blessings in life... is that I love the cold. It might be weird to some, but I find it so comforting. It’s no exact wonder that I enjoy living in this beautiful state I live in. It allows me to dress comfortably just like this. I live in sweaters, long sleeves, and leggings. This one is by the beautiful Pink Blush called Charcoal Grey Plaid Accent Elbow Patch Sweater. It’s very simplistic but adds such a nice feature of the plaid. It’s a classic look and one that is well loved! Thank you so much for visiting my blog and until next time!
