THIS POST CONTAINS AN AFFILIATE LINK DUE TO MY PARTNERSHIP WITH EVY’S TREE, OPINIONS OF THE LISA IN BLUSH IS COMPLETELY MY OWN. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
For National Women’s History month I’m sharing about the beautiful ‘Lisa in Blush’ by Evy’s Tree. It’s a simple yet a complex piece that speaks true motherhood life! I knew I wanted a career, but I didn’t want to pursue anything that would pull me away from being the main caretaker of my children. I knew I loved to write, capture moments, and to create but It took me a very long time with frustrations, uncertainties, fear, and insecurities. Am I good enough? Has my talents and skills disappeared? Will anyone even care with what I have to say? Would sharing my thoughts make me too vulnerable? How will I even have time to do this? I realized that all the fear got in the way of what I envisioned when everything I pictured was actually bigger than me. The truth is 1 Corinthians 10:31: “Whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Find the Joy in the dreams that you have, then there is no room for fear.
This past Friday was the Father Daughter Dance hosted by our church and I was so excited for my girls because it was their first time! It was also kind of a last minute thing but I had to put my mama shopping game on and I have to say I was pretty happy with what we've found!
NEED SOME ORGANIZATION IDEAS FOR YOUR MUDROOM? YOU'VE COME TO THE RIGHT PLACE! I'M SHARING SOME IKEA FURNITURES PLUS SOME EASY AND AFFORDABLE HACKS FOR YOUR DREAM MUDROOM. THIS POST ALSO CONTAINS SOME AFFILIATE LINKS DUE TO MY PARTNERSHIPS WITH A COUPLE SMALL SHOPS!
One of the most helpful rooms in our house is the mudroom. Helpful in a sense that it limits the messy shoes that ends up in the house to be contained in this room. We live in Washington, so the mudroom term is exact for this purpose. It rains a lot here and soon comes the Spring season so you know what that means! More yuck muck mud! It snowed a few days ago and since the kids love to play in the snow, I no longer fret about any of my kids tracking crazy snow in the house. This mudroom is part of the house, but it isn't part of the house that it drives me insane to care that much about mud or snow. Read more to see how we organized this area!
It's somewhat easy and difficult to just plan a little outdoor session with my kids. Easy in the sense that it's just a little day out at the park to enjoy the sun, but difficult to pack and plan for it. Gotta love parent life, there is never a dull moment! I'm sharing my must have items for a day out in the sun to help moms like it make it easier to plan for activities. Less is more! But honestly though, even it is less items that we bring, it somehow feels like a lot? What do you think?
SIMPLIFY MOTHERHOOD WITH A FAST MEAL FOR THOSE BUSY DAYS. THANKS TO TAIPEI & I-C FOR SPONSORING THIS POST!
As a mother of three children and running a business out of my home, some days can just simply be chaotic. I have what seems like a simple routine everyday. Simple, yet complicated because time seems to move even faster than I expect it to. I am a mama of many jobs: a chauffeur, cleaning lady, business woman, and lastly, a cook. My youngest has half day school so I have about two and a half hours in between not including driving time. After dropping off the kids at school, I turn the dial from chauffeur to work at home mom and get right to work. I enjoy being able to work from home and even though it can be stressful at times, I make sure to put aside a little time to take care of myself when it’s time for a break. I am not the type to spend thirty minutes or so to prepare my lunch because when it’s time for my break, I prefer the fast route without sacrificing what I’m actually craving. I love and prefer Asian Food most of the time and I am so thankful that I can have a quick yet tasty meal without any effort. Taipei single serve meals are such an easy way to quickly grab my meal and eat right there and then. I grab my iPad, put on my favorite Netflix show, and enjoy my lunch time before transforming to a chauffeur once again!
HELP YOUR KIDS TO THINK BEFORE THEY SPEAK WITH A SIMPLE FELT LETTER BOARD IN THEIR ROOM & A DEVOTIONAL BOOK JUST FOR KIDS. THIS POST CONTAINS AFFILIATE LINKS.
As a parent, we know and understand that little children will often speak out of turn due to their immediate reaction towards certain things. We often do it ourselves when our patience flies out the door. Sometimes I look back in my. own childhood and remember certain disciplinary actions from my own parents that still stands true today and will stand in generations to come. Not all disciplinary practices only happen after a mishap, but can be prevented and taught by taking the time each day to read a good word. I have always been a reader as a young girl and I believe that reading is the most important way to instill messages in our children's thought process. Reading takes time and effort. It also requires a long attention span that will help with discipline and patience.
