Yesterday, EZ and I had a little one on one time and we went to Lime Berry Frozen Yogurt. I must say that is probably his favorite place to have a little frozen dessert, he always runs in there to get his little cup and starts telling me which ones he wants. The lady who worked there saw his cup and asked, "Wow, are you going to eat all that?" Hehe! I usually try to limit the kids with ice cream and sugars but they had great choices like rasberry sorbet, strawberry, and even coconut! He chose rasberry sorbet, chocolate, and strawberry cake flavored yogurt with lots and lots of strawberry and kiwi! I had rasberry sorbet and coconut which was so.... GOOD!
The rain has gone, and the sun is shining! It was about 80 today, and Keilani asked for pig tails for her hair style, and I ended up doing fishtail braids on them! I think this must be one of the fun things with girls when they are little. They just want cute hairstyles! Guess who came running afterwards wanting the same thing?
I woke up pretty early today so I could get a head start. I usually don't wake up until about 7 or 7:30 depending on what time MiMi decides to wake up, but today I woke up at 6:30! I made our bed, got ready for church and had a little morning coffee. Keilani and Mimi woke up about an hour later and I got them ready. It's been a hard week for ez since he's been sick, so he has been a little fussy. He has a children's loft bed where he would sleep on the top bunk, and his toys would be below it. This morning he told me he wants to turn his bed upside down so he can sleep on the lower side, I'm guessing it's because it's easier for him to get back into bed at night. So that's what ez and I will be doing today, reorganizing his room!
With the change in weather, the kids have been getting sick with a cold or a cough. It's been hard and I thought after breakfast we would do a little baking. Today, the kids and I decided to make cakesicles! We usually don't do this in the morning but it was really fun. The kids helped me measure, pour ingredients, and sprinkle some fun on the cakes.
I do wish the cakesicles were thicker so there's more cake instead of an even ratio of cake and frosting, but that's probably just me. The most important thing is the kids loved it! I asked the kids what color they would like and KC chose pink for the frosting and Ez chose green!
During the batter making process, ez was in charge of pouring the milk. Of course being a kid and a boy he dumped the thing like it was bath water, haha. It splattered on MiMi and poor thing was so itchy in a matter of minutes. Nothing like a good allergy medicine can't fix though!
Anyway, there was a lot more cake than the ones in the pictures show but we ate some of it during the cakesicling process :) overall, this morning was a good morning and I think we should bake in the morning more often. They get so happy to be a part of something and it makes them feel very proud of what they have achieved. I can't wait till they're older so they can help me cook dinner!
On Sundays we usually go to church but yesterday I was so tired from driving to Keilani's friend's birthday party the day before that is 2 hours and 45 minutes away and 9:30 am just seemed too early this time. Haha! So yesterday I was craving some corned beef hash SO bad so the kids and I went to Walmart and did a little shopping. It was really sunny out so we decided to go to the park afterwards! Fortunately, Ezekiel's friend Kalia was there too so we had a little play date! We didn't go to the play ground for long this time because they wanted to explore the grass and dirt.
LET'S BE FRIENDS!
